On Saturday, May 3, Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island, in partnership with Mud Puddle Toys, is excited to celebrate the power of a wish in the Marblehead community. Sophia, 9, from Marblehead, lives with a rare and life-threatening disease - VACTERL Association. Together, we will raise funds to grant life-changing wishes for kids like Sophia, whose wish for a treehouse will be granted this summer.

As part of the day-long celebration, Mud Puddle will host an open house style party at their store from 1-4 p.m. The general public is invited to come by for fun activities geared toward kids and families and the chance to learn more and support the Make-A-Wish mission.

Also on May 3, the Marblehead and Swampscott Police Departments, in partnership with the Marblehead High School Interact Club will host a Walk & Roll For Wishes from the Swampscott Police Department to the Marblehead Police Department beginning around 9 a.m., also open to the general public, with a gathering and light snacks and activities at Seaside Park Field from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

To learn more about the May 3 celebration or get involved, please contact Caroline Craig at [email protected]. Additional activities and local business involvement will be announced in the coming weeks.

Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island grants life-changing wishes for local children with critical illnesses. This year, the organization will grant nearly 400 wishes for children ages 2 ½ to 18. To learn more about how you can get involved, visit massri.wish.org.
